I have always been a big fan of smocks, and I have a few different ones, so I was looking forward to seeing how this performed compared to the others.

From the first day I wore it, it went straight to the top of the pile. I have used it regularly in the pigeon hide and out wildfowling.

Firstly, I love the design, the big front pocket is ideal and gives easy quick access to any essentials you may put in it. The fact that the pocket is reversible is great, as I can empty any mud/rubbish out of it easily. The zip down the side of the smock is a great feature, as it makes it easy to get on and off, which can sometimes be a pain with other smocks. If you are warm it also gives you the opportunity to unzip it slightly, and let some air in.

It’s a nice lightweight jacket, which makes it perfect for days when you have a long walk. It can also easily fold up and put in your bag and takes up very little room. I feel it makes a fantastic all year-round jacket. In the cold winter months, it can be worn with a jumper/fleece underneath, whereas in summer I feel you can also wear it on a wet day with just a t-shirt underneath.

Finally, I usually have a lot of trouble with zips on jackets on the foreshore when sand gets in them, however I had no issues with the zips on this. Just an idea but I honestly think this exact same smock but in a shorter jacket version would be great for summer hunting.
