The idea of adding electronic heat to hunting clothes is a brilliant one for sedentary hunting.

The battery lasts for up to 2 hours, which is why it's worth only switching it on when you start feeling cold. It's a smart item to have with you if you need to pack light for your hunt and you’re likely to experience a sudden drop in temperatures.

Wear as an extra jacket under the other jackets.

But be aware that if you wear the muflon range, for example, you might feel wrapped up too tightly, which then hinders your movement.

If I were to prioritise my wish list, a heat jacket probably wouldn’t be at the top, because I personally prefer wearing layers and combining this with movement, mainly because once the battery is depleted, you may already be feeling cold and then you may have to end your hunt.

But it's fine for shorter trips, where there's also an opportunity to recharge the battery.
