High up in the Slovenian mountains, we're hunting Alpine Chamois.

This stunning antelope species provides some of the most challenging hunting in Europe in the most magnificent environments.

Patience and determination are essential if we're to be successful. Deerhunter provides us with the best clothing for hunting, i am wearing the Montana 2.G for extreme weathers.

Chamois are very small animals and blend perfectly against the rocky environment. You need to take your time to explore every inch of the mountain.

An old fence post makes a welcome rest as I line up the chamois some 300 yards up the mountain. For such a small animal, a solid shooting rest is highly advisable.
